Most house keys copy in a minute. A few don't, and a bad copy can wear the lock.

Copy from the original

A copy of a copy adds error each time. Cut from the original key where you can.

Keys marked do not duplicate

Restricted keyways need authorisation and can only be cut by the holder of the key system.

Test it right away

Try the new key in every lock it's meant for before you leave. A sticky key gets worse, not better.
